Probe Fixtures

Project Description:

A quality check machine requiring weldments, slides, air cylinders and installation to physically probe for holes and cutting in a hydroformed rail.

Challenge:

Designing from 2D CAD data, Armo needed to anticipate potential installation needs without access to details such as the positioning of air and sensor cables.

Results:

Our design of the fixture provided for a wide range of adjustability, which enabled our toolmaker to install the fixturing and then set the probes to the customer’s parameters.
