Retrofit of pallet tooling for electrical motor assembly

Challenge:

Used in the process of gluing magnets into motor housings, the tooling required a very precise fit and finish to minimize friction and improve clamping in the mechanism. 

Results:

By adding a grinding step after heat-treating, Armo eliminated the slight distortions in the components that could impede the smooth running of the pallets. This improvement allowed the customer to drastically reduce the amount of scrap due poor clamping.
